This is Hannah again. My dad, Mark Moses, is finally at rest. On July 2nd, 2026, God brought his servant home to Heaven. My dad's memorial service will be at 9:30am, Saturday, July 18 at Greenwood Funeral Home's Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, TX 76107. For anyone unable to attend the service, please follow this link to his obituary to watch the service via livestream. The livestream link will appear at the bottom of the obituary starting at 9am on July 18.
We are thankful that Dad passed away early in the morning so the funeral home could collect his remains before the kids woke up. When Nathaniel and Rebekah did finally wake up, we could tell them, "Guess what? An exciting thing happened last night! Jesus came and took Grandpa to Heaven! He doesn't hurt anymore and he has no tumors and he can hike mountains again!" Nathaniel and Rebekah ran excitedly to Grandpa's room and flung open the door. Just like Jesus' tomb on resurrection day, the room was empty. They miss him, but they are so excited that Jesus came and got him and healed him.
We are also grateful that Martha and Philip were able to be here for Dad's last week. Martha's experience as an ICU nurse was invaluable. We are also incredibly grateful for the wonderful staff at Hospice of East Texas. Dad's aide, Jackie Clewis, was a godsend the last few months. Stacy Lovelace, his nurse, was the last person Dad befriended as each week they discussed what the Lord was teaching them. When she asked him how she could pray for him, he almost always told her to pray for his friends and ministry partners in the Philippines. She was like a mom to Martha and I in the last few week as each day she came and spent hours with him to make him as comfortable as possible and encourage us in those last hard days.
We are looking forward to gathering with other friends and family to share our favorite memories and grieve and rejoice all together. We know Dad has already had the best reunion he could imagine with all the friends, family, and saints who have gone before him. We are so thankful he can finally rest. Daniel wrote this song for Dad back in February, when he first went to the inpatient hospice facility and we thought he wouldn't live much longer. We played this song for him many times over the last 6 months, including in his last days. Dad always enjoyed it. And now, he is truly resting. He has heard his Lord say, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
