Me, Jonathan, will be writing this update because my dad is very busy updating some discipleship materials and it takes a long time. He can only do about 2 lessons a day and has about 15 more left to do.
Recently a bunch of things have been happening. First we got our crate, several weeks back, and with that a lot of familiar stuff and possessions. We had already packed a computer with our stuff on the plane and set that up. In the crate, we also had another computer with two monitors. I am actually using that computer right now to type this. Anyway, besides that, I was able to find my Air soft gun and telescope. Martha was able to find some of her cooking stuff and we had scones (a kind of sweet biscuit) Sunday morning before house church.
Another blessing was we were able to acquire one of our dogs that we had before. Her name is Daisy and she’s eight years old, 56 in dog years. Since the friends that gave her to us neutered her she hasn’t had any puppies. So because of this she still has a bunch of energy and likes to run a lot, but mostly she lays under our couches and sleep. Under the couches because it is usually cool there. The people that just gave her back to us spoiled her by letting her sometimes sleep with them in the bed and jump on the couches. We try to keep her off the couches, and most of the time it’s working.
One other thing has had been a blessing is the air-cons in our rooms. Since we are still readjusting to the heat, it’s been nice to have them on and cool the bedrooms. We still use them more than needed. Our helper, Tita (aunt) Ghie Ghie, has been the one cleaning the floors, stairwells, and fixing our food. The food is always delicious and we don’t know what we’d do without her.
Recently we met again an old friend of ours, Tita Mimi, and are becoming reacquainted. She works as a teacher in Vietnam at a school.
The usual day is everybody does schoolwork, that’s it. Martha is taking art classes and is really excited about that.
Well that’s about all the newest stuff that’s been happening around here. We do have a couple prayer requests. One would be that my dad would be able to quickly finish updating the discipleship lessons he’s working on, and for the new churches that are being started.
